Current hygiene guidelines

Current hygiene measures:

Here you will find all the rules that must be observed. Please read this carefully so that the course can take place as usual.

  • Participants are not allowed to take part in the course if they have a cold, feeling sick or if they have an acute illness!
  • Persons with whom the health authorities quarantine or other insulationen are excluded from participating in courses.

This must be confirmed in writing by each participant on our course list.

This must also be donebe confirmed in writing.

  • Adhere to the cough and sneeze labels and observe the general hygiene tips (e.g. do not touch your face, use handkerchiefs once and dispose of them after use).
  • The teacher wears a mask and disposable gloves for all practical exercises / demonstrations. This also applies to the issue of disinfected face masks for cardiopulmonary replenishment.
The correct putting on, wearing, taking off and disposing of disposable gloves is of course demonstrated.
  • During the entire course of the course, groups that have been divided up once are left, i.e. no new ones are formed.
  • Participant exercises always take place between the same people. There should be no mixing.

Implementation of the exercises in the course

To reduce the risk of transmission among the participants and the teacher, the practical exercises are adapted accordingly.

So that you can get an idea of this, you will find the relevant information here:

Important: During the corona pandemic, it will be necessary to wear a mouth and nose cover and disposable gloves in order to participate in first aid courses.

  • Practical exercise "Control of Consciousness"
Addressing and touching to determine the state of consciousness takes place exclusively on the exercise phantom.

  • Practical exercise "breath control"
The practical exercise of breath control takes place exclusively on the exercise phantom, e.g. integrated into the exercise of the CPR measure.

  • Practical exercise "lying on your side"
The production of the lateral position is conveyed either through an instructor demonstration or with the help of a teaching video.
When demonstrating the lateral position, both participants wear a correctly fitting mouth and nose cover and disposable gloves.
In their own interest, however, the participants should only practice the lateral position later with people living in the same household. The participant documents that are handed out in the course can be used for this purpose.

  • Practical exercise of cardiopulmonary resuscitation / chest compressions
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation will only be practiced in the one-helper method. The participants only practice "pushing" (see practical exercise "donating breath"). After each exercise sequence of the individual participant, the contact surfaces of the exercise devices, for example breast skin, are disinfected by wiping

  • Practical exercise "breath donation"
The respiratory donation is only used as an instructor demonstration shown. We only explain why donation of breath can be important in an emergency and that it is of special importance for children.

  • Practical exercise "helmet removal"
The helmet is removed from the phantom using the one-man method.

  • Practical exercise "Remove foreign bodies when the airway is obstructed"
All practical measures for relocating the airway are demonstrated exclusively on the exercise phantom.

Practical exercises "wound care"
All practical exercises for the care of (bleeding) wounds should, if possible, be carried out on oneself or on objects in the Classroom (e.g. table leg).
Here, too, the participants should practice later with people living in the same household. Instructions can be found in the participant document that you will receive at the end of the course.
